Target Your Audience: How to Use Websites for Lead Capture

lead capture

According to some research, 68% of businesses struggle with lead generation.

If your business struggles with lead capture, using your website for lead generation could help.

However, there are some strategies that you’ll need to use to be successful. Keep reading to learn about some strategies that can you help you reach your target audience.

Add Lead Forms

If you want your potential customers to submit a lead, then you’ll need to have lead forms for them to submit to! You should have lead forms on multiple pages, not just the contact page.

You can start by looking at your website and seeing where you get the most traffic. For example, you might notice that a lot of your blog posts get high traffic, so you might want to consider adding a lead form there.

You may want to add one to the home page or pages where you describe your products and services. Or, you can ad dedicated lead capture pages, like “Get a Quote” or “Get a Free Estimate” pages to host your main lead capture form. Once you’ve done this, you can keep auditing it to track where all of your leads are coming from.

Grab Attention

When you put the lead form on different pages, make sure that you put it somewhere people can easily find it. For example, some marketers try to put it at the bottom of a page or below the fold of a landing page. This may be ok depending how your page is structured.

However, in many cases it should be near the top so that if users don’t scroll down far on your website, they can still submit a form without having to put much effort in.

You also need to position it so that the user’s eyes go right towards it. If you don’t know where people are looking on your website, you can always try using a heat map.

Creating Lead Capture Pages

If you haven’t done this already, you need to create landing pages that are designed to capture leads. Once you do this, you may see a large increase in how many leads you’ll get for your company.

That’s because the landing pages will focus your customer’s attention on one thing: submitting a lead. These pages normally have higher conversion rates, especially when you use a call to action to submit a lead form.

Offer e-Books or other freebies

In addition to lead forms, you can offer something free, like e-Books or whitelabel infographics, in exchange for people to submit their contact information.

While this isn’t a warm lead, you can then use this contact information to reach out to them and convert them into a lead!
